Maiden Voyage Zarate MV HuangHe

On her maiden voyage from China the Mv HuangHe discharged over 3000 metric tons project-, general-, pipe- and steel- cargo in the port of Zarate, Argentina. The discharge operation included several heavy pieces with units weights of 140 metric ton plus.

Capt. Edi Separovic, in charge of the discharge operation mentioned: “What a pleasure to work with the qualified Chinese crew who operate the vessels cranes for the heavy lifts safely and professionally. We managed to achieve significant savings in time and expenses using the ships well trained crew, experienced Captain, and modern heavy lift cranes. We are looking forward to the next call at Zarate end August. We receive a lot of interest for the line’s service to Argentina and the modern ship type scheduled”.

The 36.000 Mtns DWAT Mv HuangHe is the second delivery in a series of 4 sister vessels namely Mv Chang Jiang(January 2015), Mv Tai Hu (August 2015) and Mv Dong Hai (December 2015). These “Blue Whale” type vessels offer a combined lifting capacity of 520 Mtns (2×260 Mtns + 1 x 120 Mtns) and over 8000 SQM under deck space and are true multi-purpose flexible workhorses. Convertible into single decker’s by mean of (re) moveable pontoons.

SeaWorks, general agents in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay for Messrs. Hong Fa, announces the second load out of Mv Chang Jiang mid-July from China, Korea, South East Asia and Singapore and is expected to arrive on the South American East coast end of September on her regular run in the line’s dedicated Service Route.
