Woodpulp loaded Salvador, Brazil
The Mv Chang Jiang, one of Hong Fa’s Blue Whale series, sailed from Salvador, Brazil mid October 2015 with 15.000 metric ton of wood pulp on board. This is the largest shipment of wood pulp ever carried one these type of ships and was loaded in less than two days. The wood pulp on board is destined for two discharge ports in China. The stevedores in Salvador managed to load an average of 7500 metric tons of wood pulp per day using the lines dedicated spreaders for this trade, a great achievement.
The cargo was delivered free of damage after a fast-transit 45 days voyage to complete satisfaction of the customer. Hong Fa operates 4 of these high volume multi-purpose vessels with a fifth one coming into service September 2016.
