Cable reels from Puerto Acu, Brazil

SeaWorks, the dedicated and specialized provider of project and break-bulk ocean transport service, loaded Mv Symphony Spirit in partnership with Forestwave Navigation at Puerto Açu with 24 cable reels under and on deck. The vessel, one of a series of 8 project multipurpose carriers with the accommodation in front, sailed from Brazil mid-February for the East Coast of the United Kingdom. With her one hold/one hatch configuration, vessels cranes, experienced crew and shore support team a perfect match for the cargo and the customer’s needs. All units where efficiently loaded, stowed, lashed and secured according to our design which formed part of our transport scope.

The cargo was delivered free of damage after a fast-transit to Europe of 16 days and to complete satisfaction of the customer. After discharge the vessel was requested to load and move a few similar 9.15 Meters high units for the customer which was willingly accepted and regarded as a compliment to the crew and carrier.

SeaWorks operates a fleet of modern box shaped multipurpose tween-deck, shallow draft vessels in the Atlantic Basin. Sizes ranging from 8.000 to 14.000 Metric-tons dead-weight and lifting capacities up to 160 metric-tons.
