Delivery of Mv Yupeng

HongFa Shipping and SeaWorks are pleased to announce to have taken delivery of a fifth heavy-lift vessel in the fleet Mv Yupeng. The new built Chinese vessel is not an identical sister to the four ships currently in the fleet, but differs by design and type of crew.

The Yupeng technical features include;

  • two 240 Metric ton Heavy Lift Cranes making her excellently geared for the handling of heavy cargoes.
  • 199.80 meter length, 27,80 meter width and a deck length of over 115 meters
  • 29774 Metric ton deadweight.
  • Triple deck in her 4 Holds, all adjustable in height

She is also a floating and operational training facility of the Dalian Maritime University. Besides a temporary home to over 100 heads of teachers, staff and cadets of the Chinese University she is a unique on the job classroom for the Chinese merchant marine.

The vessel started her maiden voyage under Hong Fa commercial management in China this month loading a variety of high end project cargoes such as  wagons, mining equipment and a giant excavator to East and South Africa. Besides the ideal cargo composition for this project carrier it is perfect educational material for the students on board at the same time.

SeaWorks and HongFa operate a fleet of multipurpose vessels, featuring maximum 520 metric ton lifting capacity, 8.000 square meter under deck space and a cargo intake of 36.000 Metric tons. Ships which are perfectly fitted for the project and break-bulk cargo trade to and from South America.
