SeaWorks, as general agents for Hong Fa Shipping, arranged for the loading and transport of some 4,300cbm Tunnel Boring Machinery from Australia to Nansha onboard Hong Fa’s vessel, Mv. Huanghai Advance.

The cargo included two heavy pieces; a frontshield structure of 196mts and main steelstructure of 238mts. Cargo was loaded from barges arranged for by Geodis and the operation went smoothly, despite the Covid-19 measures in place, by vessel’s own cranes.

Vessel sailed Sydney and has in the meantime discharged the TBM in good order in Nansha.

Tjeerd Veldhuizen of SeaWorks stated that the monthly service between China and Australia/New Zealand offers the same excellent equipment as the service to East Coast South America;  vessels are boxshaped and equipped with own gear upto 520mts lifting capacity, very suitable for project and breakbulk cargoes.
